The Dispensary Watchperson (security agent) will have to routinely utilize standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, inventory, and point-of-sale systems. This job operates in a professional dispensary environment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must frequently lift and/ or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must be able to stand, walk, and use both hands and fingers to reach and grasp. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to speak, hear, and listen. The successful candidate for the watchperson position must meet the physical demands described here to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. Must be able to provide compassionate patient service.Must be friendly, outgoing, trustworthy, dependable, and hardworking.Proper license or be eligible for license.A solid understanding of safety protocols.Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.Previous security experience would be advantageous.Physical fitness, strength, and mental agility.Must live within 30 minutes of the Dispensary.Must be able to pass an extensive criminal background check.Must be a United States Citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.Undertake all tasks with integrity and professionalism.Follow directions and work as part of a team to ensure staff and patient safety.Remove or restrain those who threaten the safety of others or disturb the peace.Assist during emergencies to ensure minimal injury to people and damage to property.Respond to calls for help and contact fire department or law enforcement if required.Remain calm when alarms are triggered and escort people to safety. ![]() Serve as a security presence to ensure employees remain safe as they depart the building at the end of the night.Perform regular maintenance on alarm, camera systems, and access control systems. ![]()
